As a teenager, I loved to go out and to have fun with my friends. But still, dancing all night long wasn't my goal. Sure it was fun, but I soon realised that I wanted more. I wanted to control the audience.
I started my career in 2002, playing small gigs. Standing behind turntables is one thing, but having access to the right people and cool clubs is something different.
Soon it became clear that as a DJ I had some remarkable skills. Using my mixing talents and my excellent choice of records, my performances didn't stay unnoticed very long.
Only a year later "FEVER" had a new resident DJ. This ultimate Antwerp party experience reached over 2000 people! On New year's eve 2006, this event would host over 7500 people with me as a DJ resident.
In a cultural metropolis like Antwerp, fantastic performances don't go by unnoticed... Fashion event "CosÌ CosÌ", Eccentric and hairstylist "De CliÈnt" starred DJ Roma to offer clients an unforgettable afternoon with wicked sounds. Besides, I was often asked to turn fashion stores into clubs during busy shopping weekends.
In my relatively short career of one and a half year, I reached the status of a young and upcoming star. My credibility allowed me to start his own concept called "CAFEÌNA". Once a month, I transform an Antwerp downtown basement into an attractive club with refreshing beats. In collaboration with other DJ's, CAFEÌNA is really creating a name on the club-scene.
It seems that I was born a DJ , and what I realized in only one year of intensive practicing, proves my exceptional talent. DJ Roma will be a name that will soon sound very familiar.
Over the last couple of months I've been expanding my work troughout Belgium and Holland. After Antwerp, I had to explore other cities and concepts. I did some gigs in Ghent, Brussels and Wallonië as well.
At the Pressure Party in Café D'Anvers (one of the most famoust clubs in Antwerp) i also had the honor to mix with Bodyrox (Nick Bridges) feat. Luciana "Yeah Yeah".
Last year, The gig at the City Parade was u huge success! And of course, I still have my great Cafeina concept in Antwerp with over 300 partypeople a night.
Begin 2008 i played at the two most important fashion events of the Benelux "A Fair" and "Manwoman Fair".
My new residence is "We Love Cruises" and I'm off a to great start with the guys from ID&T! I was able to perform at the V.I.P. Sensation White at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp and I will soon be on the stage of Tomorrowland (Rec. Area De Schorre) for a lasting 12h marathon DJ-set.
Anyway, my future looks bright with new residencies in Arnhem and Amsterdam.
And as soon as I've expanded my horizon even further, I'll let you know...
